Okay, I’ve decided that BlackWarGreymon is totally emo. Even though the show was released way before “emo” was actually specifically defined.
I’m liking Digimon Adventure 02 a lot better than Digimon Adventure 01. There aren’t as many realllly bad dub jokes (And that’s how you make egg-salad!), and the characters are much better developed. Even though I’ve already seen Digimon Tamers (Season 3), I might want to watch it again once Adventure 02 is over. :)

And my digivice finally came! :D (the one from season 2) All of the commands are in japanese, and Gatomon is renamed as “Tailmon”, but it’s pretty awesome. The D-3 Digivice scans electronic signals, such as TV or Radio feeds, to discover Digi-Eggs to help your Digimon armor-digivolve. Like the D-Ark, the D-3 progresses you through certain areas by a pendulum feature, which requires that you take “steps” (or shake the digivice up and down. It looks kind of funny. :-P)

With the coming release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on May 1st, Patrick and I figured it was a good idea to re-watch the X-Men trilogy. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen the first two, and … well, I never really watched the third one. I heard that everyone died, and most of them went psycho, so I kind of skipped it. Anyway, I forgot how amazingly cool the opening fight scene in X-Men 2 was. Personally, I thought the second X-Men was better than the first one. Haven’t gotten to the third one yet, probably tomorrow.
So, I’ve decided that I need to improve my skills at FPS. Since UT3 gives you the “Instant Action” mode which allows you to play against bots of increasing skill, I figure this is a good way for me to get better at FPS (on PC, anyway). Plus, I can judge if I’m improving from how I score against specific skilled AI bots.
ZOMGEPICNESS, THE RETURN OF DDR!
That wasn’t a statement based off of some new revolutionary game or feature involving DDR. No, DDR has once again become interesting to me. Especially workout mode.

There’s something awesome about being able to burn calories while still running my PS2 (no, I have not imported my DDR save data to the PS3 yet). Of course, owners of the wii-fit already know how awesome it is to combine exercise and staring at the TV. Gaming has a reupatation for inducing complete lethargy, as shown by this controversial anti-gaming ad in the UK – ZOMG, GAMING KILLS.

An interesting article, along with the controversy surrounding this ad can be found here.
I found that on Digg one day (where I am ArumiKai, btw), and thought it was pretty funny. People are quick to blame something for their problems – blaming advertising for teen smoking, blaming a lack of public school education for STD’s, etc. Blaming video games for childhood obesity, and child behavioral problems is only natural, while people should be looking at the true root of the problem. (hint: themselves)
Now, I’m not saying that everyone should immediately swath themselves in a cloak of self-pity, start wearing emo glasses and ponder their self inadequacies. It is possible to see a cigarette ad and not want to smoke. It’s possible to take your children’s education into your own hands. It’s possible to play video games while still maintaing a healthy lifestyle. It’s possible to do your research, and not buy your 8 year old son “Grand Theft Auto IV”. There’s this super-awesome thing called willpower. :)
Anyway, that’s enough of that. I can be fairly opinionated (while attempting not to “rant” :-P ) when it comes to blaming society’s problems on a recreational activity like gaming. I wish people would take more responsibility for their actions (or lack of action).

(random note – I added a twitter widget on the right hand side of the screen, but I don’t think it’s working. BAD flash. xP )
